LIFE | AARGH... I went to see Rihanna

Diamonds World Tour

On monday I went to the Rihanna's Diamonds world tour. This is my second time seeing I went to the LOUD tour. It was literally the best night ever. I had standing tickets and was so close at the middle of the stage. There was only one person between me and the bar. It was such a great night, I just wish I could do it all over again.Whether you like her or not she is 10x better live.

Chanel AW13-14 couture

The Paris haute couture week kicked off two days ago with  Naomi Cambell opening the show for Versace. Go to vogue.co.uk to view all the shows so far. Editor of vogue Alexandra Shulman said “Karl’s couture has two sides – the first one is modernist and the second is romantic. This definitely came from the modernist group.” All models had thick eyebrows almost wolf-like. I love how made the body shapes straight with the jacket instead of revealing any curves. Also the hats complemented the hair so well. There is a lot more to the collection if you take a look at it... I just preferred these items to the evening wear dresses.

Giambattista Valli AW13-14 couture

My two favourites out of the whole collection

Out of all the collections I've seen so far (only 2-3 days in) this one and Chanel's are my faves. This one is more feminine and weddingy. I love how Valli used the florals to make such pretty items, it could make the fiercest of brides blush. You really should view the rest of the show and let the clothes speak for themselves.

OUTFIT & LIFE | 50 Shades of Blue

Today we had an A Level taster day in school so us year 10s got to pretend we were in sixth form for a day. We are off timetable all week and basically they're talking to us about college, careers, uni etc. I love non uniform days because my own clothes are so much comfier but the one reason why I dislike it is because I have to pick out what to wear and in the mornings before school I don't have a lot of time. I never plan an outfit unless it's for some type of special event because 10/10 times I'll change my mind. A lot of my decisions are very spontaneous.

Quite the DIYer

Yesterday I went to ikea with mi madre y mi hermano menor for some new furniture for my bedroom. I can't remember the last time I went there. Obviously I didn't come back with everything I needed because I got so frustrated with not being able to find the things I needed, I'm not used to places like that. I'm glad I finally finally finished painting room it took me five days; I'm such a rubbish painter. My friend Buki came round to help do the third layer and neaten everything up. I still have a pink carpet and a pink bed but hopefully I'm getting a new bed soon.

These pictures are really bad quality and I only noticed till after I took them that my camera settings were wrong oops. That is when my battery went.

There was a little drop of paint on the floor  - that's what I'm looking at
Bandana - Vintage Kilo sale
Levis Jacket - Vintage
Check shirt - Ark
Leather Pants - Topshop
Vans - Shuh

I'm getting quite a hang of the whole diy thing don't you think?

LIFE | Be Inspired

I'm currently in the process of redecorating my room. It wasn't anything planned, I just woke up one day and decided I want to have a black and white room. My room is only tiny so my aim is to get rid of all the rubbish I've been hoarding and have a very simple and uncluttered bedroom. At the moment everything in my room is pink (I don't know what 8 year old me was thinking).

I've kind of got the hang of pinterest now. Some of these images are from my pinterest account. The third picture isn't inspiring at all I just thought it was funny.

Overall High Waist Skinny Jeans

Right, I know the whole overalls, dungarees and pinafores are completely rinsed out but these overalls from The White Pepper from are so cool. I have never seen these types before, I'm used to seeing those with like a boyfriend jean kind of style. As I always I love everything high waisted because they tend to make your waist look much smaller. If your like me and your waist not much smaller than your hips it's such a great help.

I wouldn't pair it with yellow (my least favourite colour) instead I'd have white baggy shirt or maybe a crop top also I would add some trainers like these Nike Free Run 2 or these Nike Flex Trainer 3. Never before have I really bothered with trainers, I've always liked the but I haven't considered wearing them and now I want a pair for myself!

The White Pepper have some really nice stuff in at the moment; their dresses are so cute. If you have seen them what do you think of them? Do you like these overalls? These trainers?

Duke of Edingburgh Bronze Award

Long time no post. I wasn't going to do a post about my trip but I thought I should because it's the main reason why I haven't posted anything and the fact that I was ill after it. Not long ago I did a practice walk, this is the real one.

my good ol' timbs

What a great weekend in Wales it actually was looking back on it. Although I did get a bit stressed and I hate feeling like that. If anyone is thinking of doing it I would actually recommend it. It was so easy at the start the map reading was fairly simple as their was only 1-2 paths to choose from. The sun was shining, all the other people walking by were nice and friendly ad would say hello as you walk past.

Halfway through was when the map reading was hard, as there was no obvious paths. We had to walk through fields where we saw about 2-3 dead, decomposing sheep ( r.i.p) it wasn't very nice but some of the lads decided to take pictures pretending to stand on it... ew. So this was at the point we were all lost and there was about 50 kids not knowing where to go. Eventually we found the teacher and we was right back on track (not for long though). On the second day I had to face my fear of cows again. When I was asking my teacher if there was any other way we could go he replied saying you'll be fine, cows have killed people before but not in this part of the world. Err... yeah because that really helped me.

Camping was a funny but quite an unpleasant experience. Nothing seems clean. I spilled 3 quarters of my pasta onto the floor, I was so depressed, I was proper looking forward to it. If you are with the right people you'll overlook anything that can bring you down (my pasta being eaten by whatever living in the grass), I was and I did by: making music with our boot pots and pans and playing multiple games of would you rather - would you rather have 2 heads or 4 arms? (this was probably the cleanest and least disgusting question I wont reveal any others).

As I arrived back in manchester all I was left with were lots of insect bites and a cold but I'm not sure if it is a cold as it was pretty warm. There is so much more I could write about this trip but I'll stop.
Here are a few pictures of the weekend.

Asos Faves

I'm not sure if it's still summer yet... I think it's still spring. But it has been so warm in manchester (anything 15°C+). At the moment its about 19°C. Asos is one of the best online store I think mainly because they offer free delivery world wide.

I was having look on the website and came across some really nice items. Here is the best part... they are all under £30!

What's your favourite online shop? Do you like these items?

When I was your Man

This outfit is for a contest hosted by chictrends.co.uk. I had to pick at least two trends that are featured on their website and create one or two outfits. I picked the tie - http://chictrends.co.uk/chic-trends-ties/ and ankle boots - http://chictrends.co.uk/chic-trends-spring-ankle-boots/. Which I paired with the blazer I hot from the vintage sale and my all time favourite leather pants from topshop - http://chictrends.co.uk/chic-trends-leather-leggings/.

Updates + Social stuff...

Saturday was another nice day in Manchester and unfortunately I was stuck in babysitting. These are the days when I spend my whole day on netflix and youtube. Other than that I spent a lot of time changing the layout and header of my blog. Also I've finally bought a tripod so I will have an outfit post at least once a week.

  • I've created a facebook page, it would be very nice if you'd like because add the moment I only have five likes and one of them being me (lol). It would be very nice if you'd like it.
  • I also made a pinterest account and have absolutely no clue how to use it. My profile page is looking pretty bare at the moment. If someone would be kind of enough to explain it to me that will be great!
  • Please subscribe to my friend Shauna on youtube she just uploaded a new video a couple of days ago - shaunsmac18

Comment below your twitter, facebook pages, pinterest, etc. and I will like/follow you. It would be nice to see who my blog readers are.

Good luck to those have any exams this week and if like me you are returning back to school tomorrow after a week off, good luck getting up in the morning!

BEAUTY | Dr Organic's Morocan Argan Oil Shampoo & Conditioner

I've been meaning to do a review of this product for a while now. I always try different things with my hair. In year 8 I decided to shave the side of my head (it seemed like such a great idea at the time).  The first time I got it done at a barbers (who completely messed it up I now know how you boys feel) the second time I got it done at the hairdressers and the third time I did it myself in front of my bedroom mirror. So I absolutely hate it when my hair isn't healthy. The last shampoo I used was Tresemme and it completely dried my hair out. It’s obviously not right for me  But I've finally found the solution to my problem.

Topshop Modern Nights

I don't own these images.
I'm sure I mentioned on one of my latest posts how I'm into simple pieces at the moment because I think if they are well put together it can make such a statement. Sometimes there is no need for mad prints or a big frilly necklace or whatever.

Out with the new, in with the old

Manchester Vintage Kilo Sale

Never have I ever shopped like this before. Today I went to a vintage kilo sale with Ellesse. It was one of Judy's Affordable Vintage Fairs, I've never been to one before and it seemed like fun so I thought I'd try it out. So of I made Ellesse get up at half 7 on a nice sunny saturday morning because we had to get the bus there. We ended up getting there late because we couldn't find the place (it was held at the people's history museum in Manchester)! The satnav on my phone was playing up so we got directions of someone who was going to the same place.

A bad hair day is a perfect hat day!

Finally, the sun decided to come out in Manchester but I'm still wearing the chunkiest cardigan I own. Also I'm wearing a crop top which is very unusual as I've never worn one before.

The Rodnik Band x Peanut

Photos are by Andrew Farrar.

The ever so popular comic strip has teamed up with The Rodnik Band. The collection is ever so fun and playful as you would expect from this british based label. You know the characters such as Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the rest of the characters have decided to make an appearance.

I might have been to young to have been able to experience the comic strip when it was in its prime but I sure do have read it afterwards. The collaboration has given those a chance to get back in touch with their youth or embrace it. Nothing better than bright colours and pop art prints which first came to fame in the 50s to liven up your wardrobe. The prices range from 29£ to 300£.

These clothes will be available to you in selected stores from september.

Duke of Edinburgh Practice walk

Bronze Award

My group before the first walk.

Wow. I can't believe I actually lost weight doing this walk. I lost about two and a half pounds... I think; I'm not too sure what the small lines on my scale mean. This was only a practise and I'm not going to lie it is hard. We walked 15 miles up and down hills over the course of two days (eight miles on saturday and seven miles on sunday), carrying a massive bag with all our clothes, a stove, food and parts of a tent. The thing is we went the wrong away a couple of times so we probably added an extra mile onto our trip. Map reading is harder than you think.

During these two days I saw a dead lamb with no eyes... rip; walked up a really steep hill; stood in cow poo and almost cried because we walked through a field with bulls in. I have the biggest fear of cows because I got chased by one when I was little. They kept staring at us and doing that thing when they move their leg back, I thought they was going to charge at me. After all the moaning about wet feet, not being able to see with my glasses on or off (because it was raining on saturday) and arguing over a stove, I really enjoyed the weekend.

I am so glad we did a practice walk first because I was so unprepared for this. I forgot almost everything. At least I remembered to take pictures!

BEAUTY | Seventeen Rock Hard Nail Effects

This feels weird; the last post I did was last Saturday. Well I'm back after a busy five days! I love painted nails, it's a shame my school doesn't. I had to hide my nails throughout the day just to avoid a teacher telling me to go take my nail polish off. So about two days ago I went looking for a new nail polish because I was fed up with the current ones I had. I went into boots looking for some pretty polish for my nails. As soon as I walk into Boots I'm always hit with a beautiful aroma of all the different perfumes. It's a shame they make me sneeze. I bought a few different ones and I will be reviewing some of them starting with Seventeen.

White is the new Black

All white outfits are a big YES this spring/summer. It has been seen many times on the catwalk, from Valentino to Simone Rocha. And I love love love it. It's so simple but yet still makes such a big impression.
You can wear white with absolutely anything. I have enough white shirts in my wardobe but I am lacking on the bottoms.

So, I've been on  a look out for a nice skirt for an outfit. It's not a surprise that a  lot of them are out of stock in most sizes (it's always the one that you really want as well)! These are my favourite bottoms and one piece items from the high streets that I have found which are IN stock. Also I've added a bracelet, numbers 1, 8 and 9 are what I think the nicest of them all. Will you be wearing all white this spring/summer?

Stella Mccartney's lazy bag

Obviously work went into producing these bags but to me I think that it has such a lazy approach to it. Which I absolutely adore! This was part of Harrods top 10 bags autumn/winter 2013-2014. It has such a relaxed feel to it. The masculinity of the item is an ongoing trend throughout the whole collection. Personally I think anything oversized is a win win. Looking through the rest of the collection she clearly thought that bigger is better.

The inaugural issue of Miss Vogue

Vogue provided us with a double issue this month yesterday. Which included the first edition of Miss Vogue. Of course the leading model right now Cara Delevingne is on the cover as she is an inspirationn to many girls across the globe. American Vogue already had a little sister, teen vogue which launched in 2003, so I guess it's about time British Vogue had a baby sister.

The Miss Vogue look page only had outfits worn by under 21s, faces such as Karlie Kloss, Sky Ferreira and Chloe Moretz. Apart from the clothes what I liked was the section about being under pressure and four different students at the ages of 16-17 spoke about 5 different subjects which come under that heading.
  1. Image
  2. Drugs
  3. Social Media
  4. Exams
  5. Sex
It spoke a lot of truths and things that I notice within a day of being in school. Just like a lot of magazines it had a section of what to eat and drink to make your skin, hair, nails etc... healthy. I always read sections like that and have a great interest in them but never do as they say.

Editor Alexandra Shulman said "I wanted to produce an edition targeted at younger readers, created with your lifestyles in mind." Well... it featured a £890 Miu Miu leather bag, £275 Jimmy Choo sneakers, a £269 leather waistcoat from Urban Outfitters and Cara Delevingne rocking £425 knitted bra top and shorts by Margaret Howell. I don't know any teens who get that amount in their weekly spends unless you're a rockstar's daughter or something. However it also includes many great buys from Forever 21, Topshop and so on. The magazine is more likely to inspire, just like the main magazine does anyway, for those with an interest for fashion at an younger age.

I've heard that this will probably only released about twice a year and I doubt it will be a stand alone magazine. What do you think of the double portion on vogue this month?

Look like Miley

I think that Miley Cyrus has a very laidback kinda look. I think that's cool because I'm not one to dress up. There is a lot of crop tops, shorts and flats/ boots. I think it's weird because I used to love Hannah Montana when I was at primary school so I find it bit weird seeing disney stars such as Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens etc how they are now. I mean when I saw the advert for Springbreakers I was like woah, you don't see that in High School Musical.

Anyway... back to the point. I love her hair. At first I did think it made her look like a teenage boy but now I think it's pretty decent. She always decides and manages to show of her abs. Here are a few of her looks and where to get them.
