Outfit of the Day #4

Urgh today is the Sunday before I go back to school after my week off. Well I ended my week in a great way. I went for a meal at this restaurant called Bem Brasil who obviously serves Brazilian food. It was really nice and it was a change from the usual restaurants I go to. Because it was a buffet I feel like I have to absolutely stuff myself till I'm about to explode.

Today I wore:
Year 6 Pose

Blazer: H&M
Elvis Sleeveless shirt: H&M
Leather Pants (old): Topshop
Shoes: Manchester Arndale Market
You can also find these exact shoes with the same label and in suede in Ark. I found them there first but they didn't have any in my size, luckily I found them somewhere else yay!

P.S I didn't manage to get Beyonce tickets guys, it was so hard :'(

MY MAD FAT DIARY

I love this show; I'm actually writing this post during the ad breaks! It's funny, emotional at times and the main character Rae Earl (Sharon Rooney) is absolutely brilliant. The show covers real life teenage issues such as mental health and girls' body image issues but with a little humour along the way. It was based on the novel My Fat Mad Teenage Diary by Rae Earl.

Although the show is set in the 90s all the characters in Rae's friendship group are so relatable. Anyone can relate to the highs and lows of being a teenager, whether you are or were one. If you watched the one today I found it so funny to see Rae's over exaggerated reaction in her head when Chloe told her she kissed Finn.

Today was the last episode and I'm glad that E4 has announced the second series they haven't said when it will be shown but I hope it's very soon. It's probably the highlight of my Mondays.

Rih for RI

Rihanna for River Island.

*Video contains strong language.

Last Saturday, day 2 of the London fashion week, Rihanna showcased her long awaited collection for River Island. She said: "I've wanted to design my own fashion line for a very long time"
She also added: "The collection is very casual, it's chic, it's flirty".
She wanted character to come out of the clothes, for it to be comfortable but still edgy. In 2010 Giorgio Armani himself said that Rihanna is a great artist and that she has personality, charisma and energy and that she has been a pleasure to work with.

It consisted of a lot of crop tops baseball caps and big gold hoop earrings. I could actually picture her in every single outfit. So if you like the way Rihanna dresses you will be able to dress like her at an affordable price. As a whole I'm not too sure what I think of the collection. What do you think? There were certain items that I really loved then 1 and 2 I weren't too sure about like the orange dress at 00:59

I loved the black pinafore dress at 02:19 and the outfit at 02:29. The item that stood out to me was the ones with the jacket wrapped round the skirts/dresses.
I will definitely be buying that small backpack in the middle of the picture!
It would've obviously ended with her song Phresh out the Runway then Rihanna came out with her stylist Mel Ottenberg looking very proud.

Models Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn were sat front row, apparently "both whooping with delight throughout".

The collection will be out March the 5th.

Should I buy it? Should I not?

I find saving money so hard. Over a period of time I would be doing really well and save up quite a lot. Then I end up spending it all in one go, on the wrong thing grr...

I've started putting my money away in a bank account "out of mind out of sight" right? Well that doesn't always work all because of online shopping. I love it and hate it at the same time! Actually, whilst I'm writing this post, I keep moving back and forth from blogger to various clothing websites. I'm basically looking for clothes to but with money I do not have.

In general people do waste a lot of money. I waste my money on lots of things but the biggest is food. I'm not even joking. If I'm in McDonalds with friends and I'm NOT even hungry I will buy something to eat just for the sake of it. Why I do this, it's well annoying.

I'm actually trying to save money for my 16th birthday so I can buy extra things for my party that my parents won't get me. I'm not going to have one of them "sweet 16s" they show on telly where the girl is crying because her dad bought her the wrong colour Range Rover. Anyway I'm currently failing because I recently spent money on Rihanna tickets and I want to see Beyonce. However I do kind of see that as an exception.

10 Tips on saving money

Right, I know I'm not the best person to give tips on saving money, but I' going to try to stick to this myself!

  1. Know what you're saving money for.
  2. Put your money away, somewhere safe where you can't see it. So it isn't constantly in your face and don't touch it.
  3. Keep a SMALL sum of money in your purse/wallet, which can be your spending money.
  4. Try not to take your money out with you all the time, you'll most likely waste it.
  5. Never borrow money.
  6. Separate what you want from what you need.
  7. Try and only spend money on what you need.
  8. If you are under 16 and find it hard to get a job, see if you can do little jobs for family members, neighbours etc.
  9. Don't be diva, if you want to buy something and you see it in 2 different shops but one isn't a popular or whatever it doesn't matter. Go for the cheap one.
  10. Try and get your parents to pay for the majority of things you want to buy!

So basically just become a cheapskate. :)

The Queen Bey.

EVERYONE is talking about her. Mainly because of her Destiny's Child's reunion, her Superbowl performance and The Mrs Carter World tour. I can't even believe it myself! I was so excited that I was doing the Single Ladies dance in P.E on Monday. She really is one of those people that I've always wanted to see live and I can't get over the fact that I've actually got a chance EEEEP!

Destiny's Child's Reunion

When I found out about this I was so happy. When I was little I always used to pretend I'm part of the girl group, of course I was always Beyonce. Anyway if you look back at my old post Songs of January you can tell I was kind of like preparing for their come back.

Superbowl Performance

I was annoyed about the fact that I fell asleep (thank you whoever invented Sky+). Anyway while I was watching it, it felt like it was the Beyonce show instead of the Superbowl. It was mad how all the fans ran on and the massive fire things or whatever they were surrounded the stage. The moment Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams joined her on stage made the whole performance complete. I really liked the "End of Time" dance. If you haven't seen it yet you should definitely go search it on YouTube.

The Mrs. Carter show

Are you excited? I am even though I haven't even got tickets yet. The Superbowl half time show was a small glimpse of what she would do on the actual tour. I think she chose to use Mrs. Carter because she and Jay Z have been referred to as the royal couple of music. So I reckon she just decided to roll with it. I tried to get on to Beyonce.com and it has completely crashed due to the fact how many people tried to get on to it to buy tickets. We don't know the next time she will do a tour that's also why I think it's such a big deal. With certain artists you know that they will come back next you or in 2 years time but with Beyonce you just don't know.

Beyonce Giselle Knowles

Born: 4th September 1981 (31 years old)
She is a singer, dancer, actress, wife, mother.
Everyone has a favourite Beyonce song. I'm not going to lie and say I know all of her songs and that I know everything about her. But, I simply can't pick my favourite. I remember in year 4 I always used to sing Irreplaceable with my friend Savannah. It was my favourite song at the time. I also love "If I were a Boy" which I can sing in Spanish. My recent favourite has to be "End of Time" when that song comes on I guarantee you I WILL be dropping some moves.

She is such a feminist. Have you noticed that she always has an all girl band? Have you ever watched Dreamgirls? Well every time that film comes on I turn into a diva. Also when Jennifer Hudson sings "And I am Telling You" I turn into a single black woman who doesn't need no man! Beyonce sang "Listen" so well and when she performed it with Alexandra Burke on X Factor it was truly amazing.  Have you also seen her photo-shoot for GQ magazine? All I have to say is W O W.

*I don't own any of these pictures
