90s Blow Up Bubble Bag.

Outfit of the Day #6

Happy Easter everyone! Hope you are all enjoying yourself. I wanted to come up with a really good title for this blog post instead of doing "Out of the Day #" blah blah blah. I came up with a few but I didn't really think any fitted the outfit. So I thought, what is the key item of this outfit? That's how I came up with this really simple title. All items from this outfit are brand new apart from the shoes. I love wearing clothes for the first time

Denim Jacket - Topshop
Bodycon Dress - Tophop
Bubble Backpack - Asos Marketplace
Timberlands - Footlocker

This bag reminded me of primary school. I fell in love it the minute I saw it. I'm not sure why. A lot of fashion must haves in the 90s have appeared back on to the scene. You either love it or hate it.

I don't often go for standout colours but I guess there is a first time for everything. At first I was a bit cautious of the strength in the bag but, I had nothing to worry about. It's quite see through so everyone could easily tell what I had in my bag. It took me ages to blow up the backpack. But, I eventually got there. It's not as small as it looks and it was only £12.00!
It arrived like this and I got it from Asos Marketplace. I looked at the rest of isolated HEROES' clothes on asos marketplace and they are quite out there. If you know what I mean. There are a lot of bright colours and crazy wild patterns. I loved their oversized t-shirts. A lot of the items I would say are 90s inspired. If you are into bright colours and want to wear something different, I'd say they are definitely worth checking out!

I would just like to say thank you for everyone who has emailed me or left comments with positive feedback. I appreciate all the constructive criticism given.

Songs of March

I listen to most of my music through earphones. But, my earphones broke. One of them just randomly stopped working then couple of days later the other one did. I hate it when that happens so now I'm going to find a good set of earphones because I can't stand listening to music through bad earphones.

This time I'm going to do this post a little different. It's not just the songs I've been listening to this month, it's also going to be about new releases which I like or dislike. The main reason why I wanted to do another post like this, this month is because of this one song:

Many Definitions of Beauty

If you drew and designed what you think is the perfect human being, would another person agree with you? I think it's sad to think how many people are insecure with the way they look. I know that there are girls who can't even count on 10 fingers how many different types of cosmetic surgery they want to have. In fact we all know this is true. No, this post is not going to be one of those cringy quotes I see on pictures that say "you are perfect the way you are" with a picture of Drake in the background, because the thing is NO ONE IS PERFECT. We all have flaws even those celebrities who are on the front cover of magazines. All I'm saying is just be comfortable and happy with the way you look. The thing that you hate about yourself is what another may wish they had!

One big contribution to the reasons why people feel they need to look a certain way is obviously the media. Isn't it funny how those who are on the cover of all these mags, don't have one single blemish on their face. Are they like superhuman? Err... No, it's all edited. I'm not saying that those on the cover of magazines are ugly but it's so easy these days to create a false image of what you want others to see. Personally I think Instagram can make you look like a supermodel just by using a filter (okay maybe that is a slight exaggeration but you know what I mean). The media only create these looks to sell. In the 1950s the ideal figures of women was to be voluptuous, they aspired to look like female stars such as Marylin Monroe. Then comes the 1960s and women and girls aspired to look thin and have a boyish figure. When models such as twiggy were around.

I really wanted to show how easy it is for magazine editors to change the way someone looks. So I decided to have a go myself. I took this picture as soon as I got out of bed ad decided to do a little editing and it actually does look so different from the original! I'm sorry my editing skills are very poor but I tried as hard as I could to get the point across.

      BEFORE                                        AFTER

If this is what I can do at home with a free online editing website imagine what those rich magazines use! Here I've obviously made my skin clearer and it seems like I've lost a couple of pounds too. Maybe a better example is this video produced by Dove

There is no point in listening to what others have got to say about your looks. Their opinions are irrelevant. Whenever someone says something to me in school for example I just think to myself who even are you? I'll hardly see them once I've left school; they have no impact on my life whatsoever. This may seem a little childish but these days' people are judged on how many likes they get on a photo on Facebook or Instagram.

What I mean by 'many definitions of beauty' is that we all see different things. It's as simple as me saying I hate the colour green but someone else may love it. Some want to lose weight and look slim others want to put on weight and look curvier. The grass always looks greener on the other side. I guess this bit of motivational a post considering its Monday. Like in the words of Shakespeare "Beauty is bought by judgement of the eye" or this is probably me a more famous quote one I'm not sure where it was originated from - "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Just be happy and comfortable with yourself, I think that's the way forward.

Quick Post:

This is only a short post but I thought I had to share this with you guys. If you haven't signed up to I think you should. Right now! What caught my eye and made me want to write this post is that at the moment now they are selling Dr. Martens (women's and men's) less than half price. By the way this sale ends in 2 days so hurry if you want a pair. It's actually great to be member when you want to buy new thing but don't want to break the bank. I get emails of them all the time sometimes I don't really care about what they offer but other times they have absolutely great stuff! It's not just for women and girls it's for everyone.

Note to self: Be Organised

Urgh. I'm becoming so lazy, it needs to stop. We are now 3 months in 2013 and how many of you still stick to your new year's resolution? I didn't even make one, but I have been saying I'm going to join a gym since last year... err I still haven't got round to doing that. Sorry, I didn't mean to start off with a negative.

What I need is organisation. I will admit it I am not very organised; look how messy my room is.
Sunday is the one day I'm allowed to be lazy but I guess I'm going to have to sort my room out. Every time I tidy my room I tell myself to keep it tidy but that never happens.

I've not been blogging for very long and I do really enjoy doing it. I reached 3000 views today I know to some that may not seem like a lot but I'm surprised that someone actually took an interest in me rambling on in the first place!

Anyway back to organisation. I do get distracted quite easily I guess that's another habit I need to break. Obviously I'm going to start by sorting out this tip I call my bedroom. Why do I even allow it to get messy? I've also started making lists of things I need to do. I can never actually remember doing homework at home, that's another thing I need to deal with. School life. I've been told countless of times that high school is the best part of your life and that you'll want to go back when you leave blah blah blah. Right now, I actually don't mind school; if I didn't go to school I wouldn't have much to do at this age anyway. I'm 15 I can't even buy a scratch card. I'm only in year 10 so I want to do as much work possible so I have less to do in year 11.

After I've done all that I need to make sure I fit my blog somewhere in my schedule. At the moment I only blog about 1 - 2 times a week but I want to get back to blogging to at least 3 - 4 times a week. A lot of popular bloggers have said to right all your posts for the week during the weekend when you have time. For me that is kind of a problem because I think of all my blog posts when I'm trying to sleep then I forget them in the morning. I have this same problem with my music (it's so annoying).

Being organised and keeping track of time is something I do struggle with. So if you have any tips for me please comment below, thank you! :)

Outfit of the Day #5

Denim Pinafore Dress

I have wanted a pinafore dress for a long time now. I find them so cute! I bought this one about 2 weeks ago and today was first time wearing it. It really makes me excited for the summer season. Unfortunately it's still cold outside so I had to wear some tights and a big coat with it. Why does everything seem to fit and look nice in the shop? At first I bought a size 8, I tried it on and it fitted perfect. Then when I got home I couldn't zip it up and it was too short. So I had to go back again and get the next size up and when I tried it on in the shop it fit. As soon as I got home the straps were too long, so I had to like tie it. I wish they did half sizes. Oh well, I liked the dress too much so I decided to keep it.

Camera Fun!

So I've finally invested in getting myself a new camera. I bought the Samsung one from my previous post My Wishlist. When I get something new I can't stop messing about with it. I love taking photos but believe it or not I hate taking pictures of myself. Actually I don't really mind when I'm on my own but when I'm in public or with a big group of people I hate it. Anyway this camera is really easy to use for someone like me who doesn't know anything about cameras.

There is no better way for me to test camera than goofing off with it. These are the pictures took during the past week.

Bodycon Dresses I found in Topshop

Tribal Bodycon Dress

Look at this dress I found in Topshop! Unlucky for me there are no size 8s left. I guess that's good thing as it's one less thing I'll spend money on. I love the traditional African print on the dress. Better yet it's only £26.00!! Even though I can't have it I thought I'd share it with you guys. Click here for the Petite Tribal Bodycon Dress.

Shark Dress by Tee and Cake

I also found this dress which reminded me the Givenchy Shark Jumper which was very popular not long ago. I love the colours on this dress. Yes this dress is available in all sizes and it's £30. Click here for the Shark Dress by Tee and Cake

Cartoon Print Bodycon Dress

This one is so cute. I think it would look great with some trainers. This one is £29 which I think is  great prize for it. You will definitely stand out in this dress and I'm sure you'd get lots of compliments. Click here for the Cartoon Print Bodycon Dress

My Wishlist

Right this may sound sad but have you ever done online window shopping? I have. I sometimes go on different clothing shops and put loads of clothing in my basket event though I know I'm not going to buy one thing.

  1. 1. A decent camera that isn't too expensive, I haven't decided which one is better as I don't know a lot bout cameras.    I found these in Argos, I usually just read the comments then decide which one it best.
  2. Nikon L810
    Samsung WB100
  3. This backpack is from the Rihanna for River Island collection, which will be out tomorrow.
  4. Those videos on Facebook need to stop. I think the Harlem Shake is funny and I also think it's great of those who record themselves singing are good. But, the one that I find really pointless is when someone thought they're taking a picture but it's on record. NO. It hasn't made me laugh, it didn't make smile or cry, it hasn't changed my life in any way. I've seen them so many time on my news feed even though I don't have them as a friend and I don't subscribe to anyone either. I don't care if they're "facebook famous" or whatever they're called.
  5. These vintage Levi's 550 or 501 jeans which you can get from Urban Outfitters.
  6. A Celine bag, I know right dream on. They are gorgeous but they are like over £2000 sooo...
I wished that Justin Timberlake would make music again and he did. I've not posted anything in over a week oops! I've been busy but I'm back now, thank you for reading and have a good week.
